Darts Airstrike can hit up to three enemies or be focused on one enemy three times, does 600-1200 damage per dart, and lots of enemies are weak to blade attacks. You also typically only hit maybe two enemies with it. Same deal with Chef and Peppermill Blow.ĭealer is better than Clerk on Legend, Clerk is useless as Thumbtack Toss only does about 300 per hit so roughly 900 damage and if something resists then that drops to 600. Make sure you go Fortuneteller for Fulminating Forecast on every single male regardless if they're mages or not as it gives them a job-wide ability to stun up to three enemies. Breaker, Enforcer, Foreman (When you unlock its "Essence of" attacks), and Host are your best bets for just fooling around to be honest. Only use it for the stat buffs then dump it as a job.ĭon't be afraid to swap to whatever you want, Normal is very forgiving and you'll hit the diminishing returns points for jobs in a chapter fairly quickly. It's got terrible damage, it hurts itself, it only has bladed skills, and it offers no help to anything at all really. Ended up picking the former because ultimately I can see a game with someone like Tanimura or Akiyama working but not repeatedly and I want to see more of Ichiban in new games and spinoffs.īodyguard is worthless the whole way through, it offers nothing good and having to level it up on Legend is making me scream because I can do nothing to anything so Iciban's turns are pretty much useless.
I was torn between "I like Ichiban and am glad he's the protagonist" and the "I like Ichiban but I wish we had another protagonist" option.
Watase himself is like Ryuji tier strong based on 5. This isn't even getting into Daigo being an Olympic-tier sharpshooter whenever he's injured or goes into a coma and Watase going toe-to-toe with Kiryu and them both agreeing they're both strong men after it. Look at how effortlessly they handle the party in 7 with Majima and Saejima only slightly breaking a sweat.
>Beat up an entire building full of Black Monday and CIA officers. >Has been shot and stabbed multiple times and recovers within hours enough to fight armies again. >Along with Akiyama he kept the Omi stuck at Theater Alley for apparently HOURS before Watase brought his group at which point Akiyama had already ended up cleaning everyone else out. >Beat up an entire group of Omi on his way up Kamuro Hills then beat up one of his strongest rivals twice. >Beat up an entire army of Jingweon twice. >Has held off the most elite hitman group out to kill him and only him for about a third of his life.
>Has beaten up two tigers with his fists, something multiple people in the series consider to be nonsensical. >Held off the entire Tojo Clan singlehandedly when well over a hundred of them jumped him with weapons. >I know there's more but 4 and 5 are a bit hazy. >Punched his way up Kamuro Hills then beat up Majima. >In his late 50s held off the entire Omi HQ in their home base. >Held off the entire Omi invasion that came through on Nakamichi singlehandedly. >Attacked Sera's ninja HQ where his personal super assassins are trained and then beat up Sera himself after it. >Attacked Dojima's HQ singlehandedly and beat not only all his men but one of the best Chinese hitmen. I love Yokohama, they did a good job on that city but why even have Kamurocho if there isn't at least a few different things to do in it? As much as I loved the story of Y7, it has been probably one of the bigger disappointments in terms of everything else. There's just nothing interesting to do in either town except the dungeons, which are.awful. That really irritates me along with the fact that Sotenbori and Kamuro have ZERO novelty. We should have had milestones for all the games. I just want to complain about how there's no other arcade games on the list. but the virtua fighter 5 bonus stage takes the fucking cake. The Kamuro grind is daunting af, i've already fought 300 enemies, and that took like 5 hours chasing them down. I spent way too long doing mahjong but Kamuro's parlor is only 2 tables of easy and medium difficulty so it probably wouldn't be that hard. I think it's not going to get done if I'm being honest. I just have the Kamurocho table left, fighting 500 baddies in Kamurocho and the Bonus Stage of VF5 and that's it for my list.
